Operations Manager for the Social Office in Norrköping

Do you want to help create Sweden's best social office for those we serve? Are you a leader who enjoys thinking and trying new things? Then you might be the right fit for us!

Who are we?

The Social Office is a dynamic and committed organization that aims to create security and good social services for those we serve in Norrköping. We work with support and assistance for both children, youth, and adults who are particularly vulnerable or in various difficulties.

Our focus is always on meeting individual needs, especially when it comes to the best interests of children. We are dedicated to providing high-quality support and treatment measures based on legally secure assessments.

Together, we are over 1,800 employees, of which about 75 work as managers.

The Social Office is one of Norrköping Municipality's largest offices, and we have a strong desire to develop and improve, and we are now looking for you who want to be an important part of that work.

Your responsibilities

As the operations manager at the Social Office, you have a central role in developing the operations. Together with engaged unit managers and business developers, you are responsible for developing and leading the operations to achieve common goals.

Your area of responsibility includes personnel, budget, and work environment. You are also a presenter in the board. You have a genuine interest in social work and those we serve.

You will be an important part of the office's management team, where you actively participate in the strategic work to develop the entire Social Office. In your role, you will also be Norrköping Municipality's representative and collaborate with other municipal units and external actors locally, regionally, and nationally. Occasionally, you may also come into contact with the media.

Your immediate supervisor is the social director.

Who are you?

You have a university degree of at least 180 credits, in fields such as behavioral science, social work, or another education deemed equivalent by the employer.

To be considered for this position, you need to have experience working in the social services field. You have several years of experience as a manager and are skilled in change management. We view positively if you have experience leading other managers. We also appreciate if you have knowledge of the legislation LSS and/or SOL.

As a leader, you apply trust-based leadership and trust that your employees have the knowledge, judgment, and willingness to perform their work in the best way without micromanagement. Your most important task is to create conditions based on the needs in the interaction between employees and those we serve. The aim to contribute to welfare and societal benefit is always guiding your leadership.

You have a strong goal and result focus in your priorities, plans, follow-ups, and decisions. When conditions change, you easily adapt and can make quick decisions if necessary.

Furthermore, you have a good ability to collaborate with others and are aware of your own emotions and how they affect your behavior, as well as their impact on others.

You design strategies and can implement changes in a wise and thoughtful manner, motivating and inspiring others.

Welcome with your application!
